Wire coil outer tongs

External wire coil tongs in solid, torsion-resistant welding/screw construction in scissor design for transporting tied wire coils with vertical axis. The wire coils are securely fixed at four points with exchangeable hardened gripper pawls in a combination of force- and form-fit grippers. The support brackets serve to position the tongs on the coil and ensure a sufficient gripping depth. The movable suspension eye is designed for single hooks according to DIN 1501 and similar hooks. The automatic positioning switches to the gripping or open-hold position in accordance with the stroke movement during each positioning. The material to be gripped must be dry, free of oil and grease, and may only be within the temperature range of 0°C and 80°C.
