Ropes as a machine element

Ropes that can be assigned to a specific purpose or machine are a machine element. There are many different machines in which ropes are technically integrated as machine elements. In particular, however, ropes are used in electric wire rope hoists as hoisting ropes, in tower cranes as hoisting and trolley ropes, in civil engineering equipment as feed, Kelly and auxiliary winch ropes and in snow groomers as winch ropes.
