The step sling is an accessory designed for use with fall arrest harnesses. The equipment consists of a belt and a packed sling, which are attached to the fall arrest harness at the waist of the wearer. In the event of a fall, the user deploys the footfall sling by opening the small black pocket and placing their feet in the unrolling sling. The constriction of blood circulation that the fall arrest harness would exert on the wearer's thighs can be prevented by standing in the sling, relieving pressure on the user.
