Unmistakable in pink! Proven in the toughest VIP use since 1994
Thanks to a special heat treatment process developed by RUD, RUD-VIP highly dynamic sling chains are insensitive to external mechanical abrasion and damage. This extends the service life of the VIP chain.
The VIP sling chain offers the following advantages:
• Up to 30% higher load capacity than the previously highest quality class 8 (grade 80). And this with the same chain diameter.
• Chain dimensions from 4 to 28 mm. From 0.6 t (mini single strand) to 126 t (2 x MAXI double strand).
• Striking fluorescent pink powder coating and clear name marking "VIP" in every chain link and component. Prevents confusion with other grades. The surface quality corresponds to galvanic zinc plating.
• Chain diameters VIP 16, VIP 20, VIP 22 and VIP 28 mm in quality class 10-VIP, replace chain diameters 18 mm, 22 mm, 26 mm and 32 mm in quality class 8, a chain dimension smaller, thereby substantial weight saving thus better handling.
• Load capacity identification tag with multi-function: Easy checking of the three discard criteria for sling chains (diameter wear, pitch elongation and overload) through the shape of the special identification tag. The test data can be documented on the trailer.
• Heat indicator: The pink powder coating changes shade at temperatures over 200°C. In the case of impermissible overheating above 380°C, the colour shade is deep black with small bubbles.
• Suspension head collection for each crane hook: The chain connecting link Ring fork is captive but movably connected to the appropriate suspension head. The unmistakable fork connection ensures that only the matching VIP chain can be fitted. From the smallest size VBK head for high-strength hoist hooks to no. 50 crane hooks bi = 250 mm, the range extends from 1 to 4 strands.
• The patented multi-shortening claw can be fixed at any point on the continuous chain strand. No additional chain and coupling parts required. The robust spring-loaded safety pin prevents the suspended chain from releasing automatically when unloaded or under load. Ideal support of the chains due to link-shaped pocket holder, thus no reduction of load capacity - according to DIN 5692.
• VIP Cobra fork head hook and VIP Cobra eye hook: No protruding hook tip. Forged, tempered safety latch snaps into hook tip, thus protected against lateral bending. Triple-wound, rustproof, long-term double leg spring. Thickened hook tip against improper use. Wear edges on both sides protect against abrasion of the chains when grinding the chain hangers. Marking points for checking the jaw width.
• VIP automatic fork head hook: Extremely robust, proven design. Hook closes automatically when load is applied. Can only be opened by actuating the protected release lever in the back of the hook. No protruding hook tip. Large jaw width Dimension F.
• VIP shortening hook - according to DIN 5692: No reduction of the VIP load capacity, widened hook tip against improper use, e.g. incorrect hooking in of the chain. Ideal support of the chain in the bottom of the hook due to calibrated toothed knobs. Angled infeed opening prevents the chain from falling out easily.
