The SBT series metric hydraulic preload cylinders offer all the features and benefits of our standard STS series, but with the added benefit of a hydraulic spring-loaded piston return. Designed primarily for topside applications, this additional spring-loaded piston return significantly reduces pin tensioning cycle times by automatically retracting the piston as hydraulic pressure decreases. The range currently consists of 26 models, suitable for standard pin sizes from M30 to M100 diameter. The versatility of the SBT preload cylinder series is the same as our standard STS series with a wide range of interchangeable thread pullers and nut washers, either as conversion kits for different stud sizes or as individual parts. All SBT preload cylinders are equipped with a wear resistant coated piston, a maximum stroke indicator, self-activating high pressure seals and dual quick-release couplings for easy connection of multiple preload cylinders at a maximum operating pressure of 1500 bar.
