Stone+tec trade fair: nearly every other stonemason throughout Germany is a customer
Of the 5,800 stone masonry businesses across Germany, almost half of them buy rope and lifting equipment like vacuum lifters, clamps and grabs, lashing systems, load suspension devices and anti-slip mats for load securing from Carl Stahl. The company presented their product solutions for the tenth time in a row at the Nuremberg Stone+tec trade fair from 22 - 25 June.
Hermann Haederle is highly satisfied with the show feedback on the four exhibition days. The reason: compared to the last exhibition 2 years ago, the company managed to book 66% more direct orders. “The trade fair visitors are mainly the owners of stonemasonry businesses, who want to optimise their operations and who make the buying decisions themselves,” says the head of the lifting equipment division at Carl Stahl in Suessen. Visitors showed particular interest in the vacuum lifters demonstrated, which work on rough surfaces, and in special clamps and grabs, which are used to move heavy loads and stones ergonomically.
“A trade show lives from the dialogue with the customers and people want to try out products rather than ordering from the catalogue,” explains Häderle, giving the reasons for the huge amount of time and effort put in this show. In this way he was also able to demonstrate how easy an aluminium portal crane is handled, which can be flexibly used in both a workshop or a cemetery. Another indispensable product is the high quality forged ramshorn hook, which is available in the Condor premium product line in three load capacities from 1.0 to 6.4 tonnes.
The stonemasons, proud of the long tradition of their profession, could see from the exhibition brochure, that Carl Stahl can offer a whole range of products tailored for their particular requirements. The brochure has been put together especially for the stonemasonry sector and has been mailed to over 4700 businesses ahead of the trade fair. It includes everything that makes heavy duty work easier, faster or better, down to the electric chain hoist or recoil-free hammer. Figures prove that taking such care of this profession is worth the effort. The main reason for the company's success, besides the quality of their products and technical advice, is the wide-spread presence of the Carl Stahl Group with 20 offices all over Germany.
